Small-batch nut butter · Norwich · Est. 2024

BUTTER
believe it.

Two ingredients. Stone-ground for two hours in a 1962 granary mill. Jarred warm, shipped fast, gone by Friday. It reads like a recipe because that is all a good one needs.

The range

Four ways to go nuts.

Every jar: heirloom nuts, a pinch of salt, and absolutely nothing pretending to be food.

The mixer

Build your jar.

Your nut, your extra, your texture. We grind it, jar it, and print your mix on the label.

Peanut Velvet

Smooth peanut butter, stone-ground, 340g glass jar.

Our story

Slow food, faster than you can say toast.

Nuts began in a borrowed bakery corner in Norwich with one drum roaster and a stubborn idea: nut butter should taste like nuts, not sugar.

  1. 01

    Source

Heirloom peanuts from family farms in Virginia and Andalusia. Grown for flavour, not shelf life.

  2. 02

    Roast

Small batches in a 1962 drum roaster, watched the way you watch a kettle.

  3. 03

    Stone grind

Two hours between granite wheels. Slow enough to stay silky, never scorched.

  4. 04

    Jar

Straight into glass while still warm. Nothing added, nothing needed.

0 peanuts per jar (we counted)

“Dangerously spoonable. We finished the jar before writing this.”

The Breakfast Weekly

“Proof that two ingredients can outshine thirty.”

Pantry Illustrated

“The crunch heard round the kitchen.”

Questions

Asked, answered.

Is it really just nuts?

Yes. Peanuts and a pinch of sea salt in most jars. The chocolate one adds proper cocoa, and that is the entire ingredient list.

Why glass jars?

Glass keeps the flavour honest, warms up again if the oil settles, and lives more than once. Plastic never earned it.

My jar separated. Is it broken?

It is working. Oil on top means no emulsifiers. Stir it once, store it upside down, thank us later.

Do you ship outside the UK?

We do. Everything leaves Norwich within two days of jarring, wherever it is going.

Can I visit?

The bakery door is open on Saturdays. Follow the smell of roasting peanuts down Willow Lane.
